The Salt Lake Ranger District has requested our help with maintenance for the Buckland Flats area, located up Ward Canyon Rd and above the Bountiful B. After we complete the projects, there will be a trail ride up Ward Canyon to Farmington Canyon for those who are interested.

Project Description:

Picking up trash, pallet nails, and shooting debris in the area around Buckland Flats. (The shooting corner, the parking lot across from Buckland Flats, and the two meadows at Buckland flats.) Closing or blocking two spur roads into the meadow, using boulders or fencing material. Posting two new "Restoration Area" signs on wooden posts.

Goal:

To remove trash and debris from the forest, and restore the damaged grasses and vegetation in a beautiful meadow area.
